Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is an effective tool to focus in on the specific areas in one's life. In this context I can provide a safe and confidential environment to explore difficult topics with the client. Tailored interventions and specific treatment planning can help you achieve your goals and remove barriers towards your progress. If you have never been in therapy before or are nervous about starting with a provider, this one on one environment is a good place to begin. Couples often struggle and experience distance when they have difficulty communicating. This disconnection can often grow and conflict can insue. Relationships usually see typical issues of money, child rearing, and physical intimacy as part of their primary struggles. Even these complicated topics do not have to be problematic. With good communication and trusting relationship I believe couples can navigate difficult conversations. In my work with couples I seek to develop complementary roles that bring about a healthy balance for husbands and wives. Family dynamics can be complicated with many different personalities and communication styles. It can be challenging to work together in daily life. In family therapy I primarily focus on each individuals personal style and how I can better promote their success within the family unit. Family sessions are a safe and healthy place for the individuals to verbalize concerns and feelings. Also, at the same time we focus on skills that can increase interpersonal communication within the family system.
